MG Aile Strike Gundam – Pre painting

Not that the model is done, I need to paint it. After separating the different color parts into different sandwich bags, I’ll use Tamiya grey primer. For the I’ll use this set, I have a half used bottle of Red from the PG RX-78 that I made.

I’ll take pictures once I prime and paint.

Here is the Strike with No Armor on…

Ajaxify: EnhancedEntryEditing

Lately, I’ve been playing around with different plugins for Movable type. One of them is a plugin that replaces the New Entry Interface with a AJAX  WYSIWYG interface. This is created by movalog.com

Ajaxify is a set of plugins that adds several ajax/javascript widgets into the Movable Type interface. It currently consists of EnhancedEntryEditing – that adds a WYSIWYG editor and resizable textarea controls to the entry screen – and Search Suggestions – that add a "Google Suggest" like feature to the quicksearch box.

This post was made with the EnhancedEntryEditing Plugin.
So far so good. You can find it here

Slight Update:  "Emoticon" was a little broken under Firefox. Nothing much that a little html editing didn’t fix.

A Really nice Welcome home

After being away for a week in Virginia, my wife made a really great dinner. I’ve said it before: The best day in my life was the day we got married and it just keeps getting better!

EDIT: No, dinner was not just Salad, The Salad was just the Apetizer… 😉

MG Aile Strike Gundam – Assembled

Now that it’s assembled, I need to paint it. I’m thinking of using Tamiya paint. It’s good paint and I could use water to thin it. Once that’s done, I’ll ink the panel lines at that point. The model was fun to put together, is really posable and comes with a stand.

Nice, but my shelf is getting crowded.

DSC_2500.jpgNow I need yet another set of bookshelves. We’ll be getting a Ikea Billy book case with Glass doors. This will keep my Cat from committing suicide by jumping on the shelf and destroying one of my models…

Keep Back!

Building Yet Another Master Grade by Bandai. I’ve been so busy this last year and a half that I haven’t had the chance to build one of these. Since I’ve gotten back into photography, I figured “Why not document building it?”

Image cropped from Hobby Search.

Update: I had a link going straight to the Item on the Hobbysearch Web site, but the really long link kept choking Movable Type. Weird. 10/25/2005 – Seems to work now.

Naturally, I was late arriving…

This picture has an amusing story: a week ago I was Hiking in Lake Minnewaska and playing around with Aperture Priority Mode on my Camera. I forgot about it, took this shot and realized afterwards.

It’s an Odd photo, but I like it.

Really Good Tip site..

gundamcraft-01.jpgOne of my hobbies is assembling and painting plastic Models based on Japanese Anime. In the last year I’ve not had the time to make any kits, but I have several that is queued up to assemble and detail.

Recently, I came across the Gundamcraft website which has Tutorial videos for assembling, airbrushing and detail the models.

It’s all in Korean (I think) but the video has good examples of assembling and airbrushing that I found useful.

See Here.
