Amusing Sony Advertisement

Saw this on Techeblog.com.

From Techeblog:

The world’s largest foam machine was custom-built for the shoot, and pumped out over 500,000 gallons of foam per minute. The commercial is for Sony’s cameras, and locals got Alpha DSLRs, Cyber-shots, and Handycams to shoot the experience

Looks like fun but I’m wondering how they cleaned up afterwards? I bet this is the same people who did the Bouncing Balls advertisement in San Francisco.

Improv Everywhere: Best Game Ever

Improv Everywhere gave a Little league team the “Best. Game. Ever.

They turned a little league baseball game in Hermosa Beach, California into a major league event complete with NBC Sports, Jumbotron, Player interviews, *and* the Good Year Blimp!

Keith Olbermann Special Comment

[pageview src=”//www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22425001/vp/23601329#23601329″ frameborder=”0″ height=”339″ scrolling=”no” width=”100%”]

Many people assume that since GW Bush is a frequent target of Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment that he’ll ignore anything other people say. Quite frankly, this is not the case as he demonstrated on his March 12th show. I read about it at the Huffington Post (transcript) and have to say: He nails the issues perfectly.

I know Sen. Clinton wants to be the next president, but the actions Mr. Olbermann calls her out on make me wonder if she should be the next president. After 8 years of incompetence in the GW Bush adminstration, A democrat getting elected should be a no brainer, but the way this is playing out makes me wonder.

If the Democratic Party blows it, Sen. John McCain seems to be running a campaign where he’ll act as the Third Term of GW Bush. Frankly, that would be a disaster for the United States as we’re in horrible shape now and can’t continue in the direction we’ve been going in. The Right Wing policies of the GOP just aren’t working (Unless your Bear Stearns of course…) and The Democratic Party, while holding a majority in the House and Senate, can’t seem to develop the backbone needed to change the path we’re on.

BTW: The IFRAME above was done via a slightly modified PageView plugin. I liked the plugin so I modified it for my own nefarious purpose.

Once again Jon Stewart demonstrates that Public officials really should beware of the video tape. In this segment, “Crude Awakening”, we see Jon Stewart bring back GW Bush’s own words.Me, I’m once again very busy at work. A few projects are coming to a close and naturally, keeping me very busy. Considering that the economy lost 63,000 jobs last month, I suppose I’m lucky, but after working all night for a couple of issues I find I have to remind myself of that. I’ve been too busy to take any photos during lunch. By the end of the month, my project will wind on down.

I saw this via Reddit.com (Best.Productivity.Killer.EVER) on Saturday and was nearly in tears by the end. My Wife and I have been getting a lot of Telemarketers lately, so when I heard about this, I could not resist listening to it.

Keith Olbermann Special Comment on “Sacrifice”

Keith Olbermann is in fine form here raising excellent points yet again. It’s easy for a politician like President GW Bush to speak of sacrifice when others need pay it. While I support our troops, I was never a supporter of this war. I never bought into the “WMD”, or 9/11 connection either. This “New And Improved Plan” sounds like more of the same horrible planning on the part of the administration. This “Surge” sounds to me to be exactly what Keith Olbermann says it is, just a political ploy to say Iraq wasn’t lost on his watch.

On a semi related note: I refuse to watch Saddam Hussein’s “Snuff” film. No, I’m not at all a Saddam Hussein fan, I just think videotaping anyone’s execution is barbaric and should not have been shown on television for children to see. It should not have been put on the Internet for juvenile and sadistic minds to enjoy either. To make matters horribly worse: Three Children in different countries hung themselves after viewing Saddam Hussein’s execution. Way to Go “News” Media…

The FCC goes Ape about Janet Jackson’s exposed boob, complain about graphic violence and yet take no action about a Snuff film. I guess this Administration considers video taping the execution a part of Republican family values.

Keith Olbermann on The Military Commissions Act

As other people have pointed out “The Military Commissions Act” passed by Congress is dangerous as it has no clear definition of what defines an “Enemy combatant”. Keith Olbermann does a fine job of explaining why this is such a badly written law and points out that it is whittling away at the Bill of Rights. He also does a great job of once again demonstrating what a complete hypocrite President George W. Bush is. This is such a “hot” issue, that he can’t schedule a time to sign it? Riiiiight… BTW, while Keith Olbermann is being sarcastic (loved the “Why Does Habeas Corpus Hate America?“), people should realize this: If something can be abused it will be. The founding fathers of the United States did NOT trust Government, which is why the codified the bill of rights. Even if the current president doesn’t abuse this (Wow, What Are the Odds?), it doesn’t mean others won’t. This is not a “partisan” issue, it’s potentially a Constitutional one.It used to be that you could depend on the Supreme Court to strike down laws like this one since it smacks in the face of the Constitution (i.e. Attempted murder of Habeas Corpus) but with this line up, who knows?

Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment for October 5th, 2006

Keith Olbermann’s comments on the President is quite telling and quite interesting as I think it’s spot on. He’s close to 10 minutes long with this one, but it is well worth listening too. This gets cut off a little at the end, but you could see all of it here. The President constantly lies about anyone that opposes him. The incidents that Keith Olbermann bring up are perfect examples of the “Power at any cost” attitude that the Republicans have.Music I’m listening to right Now:

OK go – Here it goes again

The band, OK go , has a music video played on Treadmills. It’s really well done and this got them a spot on the MTV Video Music Awards. The coreography alone makes it really interesting. I wonder how many takes it took? Either way, the video is really good.
